The two most popular types of netipractises are jalaneti and sutra neti. Jala neti is the practise of cleansing the nasal passages with a tiny pot called a “Neti pot,” which is filled with slightly warm saline water and has a long spout on one side. The spout is then inserted into the left nostril. The individual practising it bends his head to the right side and lets water enter his nasal cavity through his left nostril before releasing it through his right nose. The salty water is added to the pot once again. By inserting the spout in the right nostril and then angling the head to the left, this process is repeated. The sinus chambers and the nose are cleaned during this operation.
