The hand mudras here we mentioned are the mudras for meditation. They send the prana the hands emit back into the body. When the thumb and index finger are joined in a mudra, the motor cortex is very subtly activated. They produce an energy loop that travels from the brain to the hand and then back. The internalisation of this process is accelerated by conscious awareness of it.

Hasta Mudra
Jnana Mudra and Chin Mudra
Jnana Mudra
Take a relaxed meditative posture.
The inner root of the thumbs should be touched by the folded index fingers. The remaining three fingers on each hand should be relaxed and spaced slightly apart.
With the palms facing down, place the hands on your knees. Relax your arms and hands.
Chin Mudra
The Chin Mudra is performed similarly to the Jnana Mudra, with the exception that the hands’ backs are resting on the knees and the palms of both hands are facing upward.
Relax your arms and hands.
Sequence: Unless otherwise stated, one of these two mudras should be used when practising meditation.
Benefits:
Jnana mudra and chin mudra are straightforward but significant psycho-neural finger locks that enhance the effectiveness of meditation asanas.
The hands’ palms and fingers are covered in many nerve root terminals that continuously release energy. A circuit is created when the index finger meets the thumb, allowing energy that would often be lost into the environment to return via the body and up to the brain.
Yoni Mudra
Set up in a relaxed, spine-straight position for meditation. With the fingers and thumbs straight and facing away from the body, place the palms of the hands together. Turn the little, ring, and middle fingers inward such that the backs of the fingers are in contact while maintaining the contact between the pads of the index fingers.
Little, ring, and middle fingers should be interlocked.
To create the foundation of a yoni or womb shape, bring the thumbs toward the body and unite the finger pads together.
Benefits
By locking the fingers together during this practice, energies from the right hand into the left hand and vice versa are completely crossconnected. It helps to balance the activity of the right and left hemispheres of the brain in addition to harmonising the energy in the body. The flow of prana is further enhanced by bringing the tips of the index fingers and thumbs together.
This mudra promotes better attention, awareness, and internal physical relaxation while stabilising the body and mind during meditation.
